The album presents a studio recording on CD, with eleven tracks, all composed by Brecker, as well as a DVD, which presents a live concert at the Blue Note, NYC. The music is a perfect example of the Jazz-Funk Fusion, which bands like the Brecker Brothers pioneered, perfectly executed by this excellent team. Brecker is of course a very accomplished composer, as well as a superb trumpeter, and this music flows smoothly, Funkily and highly entertainingly for the entire duration. Of course thirty years later, the music is not as exciting and fresh as it originally sounded, but it is still an excellent piece of fun. Overall, this is a loving trip down a memory lane to the sound of the early Jazz-Funk Fusion period, which is well deserved and highly entertaining, but does not innovate or surprise anybody anymore. Still, I had a lot of fun listening to this stuff, as it surely shakes your booty!
