~ On the air!
| | On Saturday June 21, 2008 I started to broadcast a new radio program called "Somgweavers" on a local radio station "Radio Haifa". The program starts at 7 PM (Israeli time) and lasts for 2 hours.
The program can be listened to and even viewed on-line on the radio's site www.1075.fm
In the program I play songs from the www.songweavers.com site and Israeli stuff, all by relatively unknown music makers, trying to expose listeners to good music that deserves wider recognition. |

| | I have added a Feedback form, which the visitors can use to post comments about my site, which will be stored in a database and displayed in the Feedback section. |

~ New search option in the Recrd Collection section!
| | I added today a new search option in the Record Collection section, which enables to search the database by country, in addition to the existing searches by artists, title and record label. This is very useful if one wants to find albums by artists from a particular country only. |

~ Work on the Book Collection section completed!
| | I managed to complete the work on the Book Collection section sooner than I expected. It was a lot of work, but as usual the satisfaction of a job done is enough to keep me happy! All books have now a description and classification by subject, year of publication, language and other details. I hope people can benefit from this list of books when considering purchase or conducting research. I can now return to adding more features to the site and improving existing ones. |

~ Work on the Book Collection section continues!
| | I've managed to complete letters D to K (by author) of the book list - good progress made. If everything goes well I should be able to finish it all in the next 10 days or so. I'll add a few new books when I'm done with the updating.
In the first 15 days since the site was launched I've had 1,600 visits - not bad. |

~ Work on the Book Collection section continues!
| | I've managed to complete letters A to C (by author) of the book list - obviously this is much more work than I anticipated :( But since this is a labour of love I don't mind. I've marked all the books that are autographed by the authors (quite a few of those) and those that include a music CD. It's great to take those books one by one into my hands - some of them I haven't touched in ages - they must have missed me terribly ;) I have also rewritten the software so now you have an option to view all the books, just the new additions, or books by first letter of the author's name. Enjoy! |

| | I added today the new "Writings" section, which includes articles, short stories and other writings about music and music related topics I've written over the years. Enjoy! |

~ Record Collection section added!
| | I added today the new "Record Collection" section, which gives everybody access to my record collection. Since the record collection is pretty extensive, there is a query feature, which enables listing by artist, title and label. I will probably extent the query options for more advanced searches in the future. Enjoy! |

~ Book Collection section added!
| | I added today the new "Book Collection" section, which lists the books about music in my collection. This is something a lot of people have always asked me about. There is still a lot of work to be done, like entering the book descriptions, but all in good time. |

~ My web site is finally here!
| An old proverb says, “Him that makes shoes goes barefoot himself”. This is certainly true in my case, since in the last 10 years or so I designed and developed countless web sites, but never had time to create my own. “Better late than never” says another proverb, so here it finally is, or rather the first version of it, as it will surely change in time.
I have collected here several previously developed applications, like the blog and the photo gallery and added quite a few new features, all under “one roof”.
I hope your visit here will be a pleasurable one. |
