Debut album by British Jazz sextet Crème AnglaiseFind albums by this artist led by veteran keyboardist / composer Mark HartFind albums by this artist (of SupertrampFind albums by this artist fame) with saxophonist John HelliwellFind albums by this artist, guitarist Mike WalkerFind albums by this artist, pianist Arthur LeaFind albums by this artist, bassist Geth GriffithFind albums by this artist and drummer Ben BryantFind albums by this artist. Vocalist Barbara WalkerFind albums by this artist guests on a few tracks. The band performs a set of mostly original compositions, some instrumentals and some with vocal parts, which are very solid and mostly beautifully melodic. The overall performances are excellent, with saxophone and guitar solos being the most notable. Although on the lighter side of Jazz and sometimes bordering with Fusion, this is a very good example of well composed and well played music, which although accessible retains its musical qualities without compromise. Recommended to listeners, who enjoy melodic, soulful Jazz!

  | SUPERTRAMP ~ BREAKFAST IN AMERICA (DELUXE EDITION) A&M 600753304389 (Barcode: 600753304389) ~ UK ~ Classic Rock Recorded: 1979 Released: 2010
This is probably the last truly great classic Rock album, which not only closes the 1970s but if fact (and in retrospect) the entire Rock era. Everything recorded after this album would be more or less a lame imitation of the glorious past. It was also the 6th album by British group SupertrampFind albums by this artist, and definitely their most perfectly crafted piece of music. With strong ties to Progressive Rock, Supertramp´s music was always beyond straight-forward Rock and (again in retrospect) that added value makes it sound so great 30+ years later. This newly remastered edition adds a whole second CD of live performances by the group, none of which were included on the live album "ParisFind albums with this title", which was released, following this one, at the time. Absolute classic stuff!
