It´s quite obvious why Kuhn opted to record his albums on ECM at the time, as his music is definitely quite different from the American mainstream, full of romanticism and intellectual excursions, which fitted the European modern Jazz idiom like a glove. This is absolutely gorgeous music from start to finish and lost nothing of its charm over the years.
