SAM GOPAL ~ ESCALATOR EDSEL 627 (Barcode: 740155162726) ~ UK ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 1968Released: 2000 This is the only album by the short-lived British band Sam GopalFind albums by this artist (or Sam Gopal DreamFind albums by this artist), named after the leader, tabla player, by the same name. The band combined Psychedelic, Hard Rock and World Music influences (Indian mainly) to create a one-off gem, which remains to this day as a great example of the imagination and artistic freedom given to the bands at the time. In retrospect this is still quite charming and definitely worth investigating.
