The album presents seven tracks, five recorded live and two studio recordings, all of which are original compositions by Gurtu. The music is an absolute orgy of rhythms and sounds, based on brilliant compositions by Gurtu, which feature him playing a myriad of percussive instruments and singing konnakol improvisations, supported by an exceptional group of great instrumentalists, primarily by Philips, who keeps the music swinging for the entire duration, the guest soloists and of course the fabulous NDR Big Band, which is the best European Big Band out there. Overall, this is a superb example of Jazz-World Fusion, which is completely universal and able to reach listeners from the entire world and all music genres. The passion and skills of these musicians are unbeatable, and this album is able to uplift the spirit of any listener, even in the darkest hour. Beyond recommendation!
