OXFORDS ~ FLYING UP THROUGH THE SKY
GEAR FAB 168 (Barcode: 645270016827) ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock

Recorded: 1966 - 1972 Released: 2001

Only album by obscure US (Louisville) band OxfordsFind albums by this artist, which is a great example of Psychedelic music with strong Prog influences. Fronted by an excellent female vocalist, the bands sounds often like It`s A Beautiful DayFind albums by this artist. Beautifully orchestrated, the self-penned material is breathtaking. The numerous tracks follow the band over a period of five years. Why they never made it big time is a total mystery. Although obscure, this album is as good as anything recorded at the time and deserves to be re-discovered. Wholeheartedly recommended!
