The album presents nine tracks, all original compositions by the leader. The music is an excellent classic mainstream Jazz, made in Europe, being every iota as good as any of the stuff coming from beyond the pond, but without the stale smell. Everything is just perfect here, from the first note to the last, with beautiful melodic compositions and perfect performances from start to finish. The album is beautifully recorded, with just the right balance and ambience, which makes listening to it an unadulterated pleasure to all Jazz lovers the world over. Having said all that, there is nothing innovative or surprising in this music, which means that listeners looking for surprises or unexpected turns and twists will be disappointed. But, many people like their Jazz exactly the way it is played here, and who am I to tell them what to listen to? Overall, this is absolutely classic mainstream Jazz, perfectly put together by gifted and experienced musicians, who prove once again that mainstream European Jazz is every bit as good as anything arriving from the West, buy classier!
