JOHN MCLAUGHLIN ~ MUSIC SPOKEN HERE WOUNDED BIRD 3723 ~ UK ~ Jazz-Rock Fusion Recorded: 1983 After his ferrocious experiments with Fusion (Mahavishnu OrchestraFind albums by this artist) and World Music (ShaktiFind albums by this artist), by the early 80`s McLauglin settled in Europe again (Paris to be exact - where he lived with his companion, the wonderful pianist Katia LabequeFind albums by this artist, who also plays on this album). This album captures a return to more jazzy surroundings, based mostly on the interplays between guitar and the two keyboards players. Bass gives the additional rhythm basis and there are no drums! This is most elegant, intimate and wonderful music one can imagine, always fresh and rewarding.
