  | EARTH AND FIRE ~ ATLANTIS ESOTERIC 2148 (Barcode: 5013929724822) ~ NETHERLANDS ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 1972 Released: 2009
3rd album by the legendary Dutch group Earth And FireFind albums by this artist, who were considered the "Continental" answer to Pink FloydFind albums by this artist and GenesisFind albums by this artist. The group creates here a full concept album (around the Atlantis myth), expanding further the Prog influence. Full of mellotron and some great guitar work, this is a typical symphonic Prog at its best. The female vocals fit the music perfectly and there is nothing else to do but to sit down, close ones eyes and dive deep into the music. A gem!

  | EARTH AND FIRE ~ EARTH AND FIRE UNIVERSAL JAPAN 9462 ~ NETHERLANDS ~ Progressive Rock
1st album from 1969 by this legendary Dutch group, who were considered a continental answer to Pink Floyd and Genesis. This debut album is still very psychedelic and starting with the next one they will enter the Prog genre proper. Led by the Koerts brothers: Chris (guitars) and Gerard (keyboard) and fronted by singer Jerney Kaagman, Earth and Fire were surely on of the most interesting European groups. Roger Dean cover! Limited Edition

  | EARTH AND FIRE ~ SONG OF THE MARCHING CHILDREN UNIVERSAL JAPAN 9463 (Barcode: 602498206270) ~ NETHERLANDS ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 1971 Released: 2004
2nd album. By the time they recorded this album, which is often considered as their best, Earth and Fire developed into a proper Prog band with dominant mellorton and extended, complex and thematic suites, like the one (over 17 minutes long) on this album. The female vocals, not unlike Annie Haslam`s efforts (but alto) are quite fascinating. A masterpiece! Limited Edition

  | EARTH AND FIRE ~ TO THE WORLD OF THE FUTURE ESOTERIC 2279 (Barcode: 5013929737921) ~ NETHERLANDS ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 1975 Released: 2011
This is the 4th album by the great Dutch Prog group Earth And FireFind albums by this artist, kept similar to their earlier efforts. After some personnel changes, the group is still fronted by the great female vocalist Jerney KaagmanFind albums by this artist and includes brothers Chris KoertsFind albums by this artist (guitar) and Gerard KoertsFind albums by this artist (keyboards), who are responsible for the music. At that point the group is still very much at its creative peak and constitutes a Continental answer to British Prog groups, which dominated the scene. This is a classic Symphonic Prog, with great melody lines and plenty of interesting instrumental work, which should keep every Prog fan happy. Definitely worth investigating!
