JEREMY & THE SATYRS ~ JEREMY & THE SATYRS
WOUNDED BIRD 6282 (Barcode: 664140628229) ~ USA ~ Jazz-Rock Fusion

Recorded: 1968 Released: 2009

This obscure gem from the late 1960s is the only album by Jeremy & The SatyrsFind albums by this artist and is also the first recording by three future Jazz starts: flautist Jeremy SteigFind albums by this artist, keyboardist Warren BernhardtFind albums by this artist and bassist Eddie GomezFind albums by this artist playing here in a quintet with guitarist Adrian GuilleryFind albums by this artist and drummer Donald McDonaldFind albums by this artist. They play quite an interesting mixture of Blues, Jazz and Rock which falls completely outside any genre specifications, but remains interesting after all these years. These are all brilliant instrumentalist of course and hearing their early efforts brings on a lot of nostalgia. This album is definitely worth further investigation, both by people familiar with these players as well as fans of the wonderfully weird 1960s music. Recommended!
