  | CATHEDRAL ~ KINGDOM OF ENDS KINESIS 1005 ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock
1st album from 1992 by the group, which is considered as one of the best US Neo-Prog outfits. Resembling Marillion and IQ from UK, but with a harder edge and more instrumental passages. Quite brilliant playing and good vocals.

  | CATHEDRAL ~ THE BRIDGE NOT ON LABEL (Barcode: 837101395090) ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock Recorded: 2007 Released: 2007
Almost three decades ago the US Prog band CathedralFind albums by this artist disappeared from the scene after releasing just one seminal album of classic Symphonic Prog and now they are back together and here is their new album. Prog fans were expecting this to be similar to their previous effort, but surprisingly this is quite different - after all it’s been a while and so many things changed in the meantime. Although still very much Prog, this one is not a typical Symphonic Prog, but rather a dark, hazy and heavy at times suite-like piece of music, somehow resembling the Scandinavian vein of Prog. The instrumentation moves between quiet acoustic pieces and overwhelming multi-instrumental ones, drenched with mellotron and even using saxophone overdubs. This album will suffer seriously from comparisons to its predecessor (which is understandable, but unfair) but when judged by its own merits is quite an ambitious piece of work – not for everyone of course. Good to have them back.

  | CATHEDRAL ~ THERE IN THE SHADOWS KINESIS 1009 ~ USA ~ Progressive Rock
2nd and last album from 1993, continues the tradition set on the previous release, but more melodic (see Pendragon) on some tracks and more edgy (see Dream Theater) on others. A classic Neo-Prog release.
