Zappa was not only a musical genius but also a pioneer in sound recording technology, as the recordings included here show. Mixed by Zappa originally for the Quadraphonic Sound format in 1970s (which was soon forgotten), these never previously released tracks sound simply breathtaking, utilizing the latest high-resolution remastering and Surround Sound technologies. Even though some of the tracks have been released in different form before, these new mixes are so much different that they sound completely new. No Zappa fan can possible live without this stuff!
