A new edition of the book "Inside Bebop", which in fact was a more descriptive title, as the book is all about the Bebop sub-genre, its history and musical meaning. Feather is one of the best writers about Jazz.

This book is based on the diaries of Leoanrd Feather, one of greatest Jazz critics and writers, with a lifetime dedication to the music. He tells the story of the music through his personal memories, travels, experiences, etc. Great read!

A brilliant book about the Soviet Improvised Music and Free Jazz scene, which somehow managed to develop and reach great creative hights under the nose of the authorities. Includes essays by many of my East European friends like Virgil Mihaiu (Romania) and Bert Noglik (DDR). This is a rare peek into a whole universe of music, which was at the time completely unknown to the Western listeners.

As the title suggests, this is a biography of sorts, presenting as many facts as possible in a chronological order. If these facts (relevant or not) are of interest to you, well then this book is definitely for you, but if one is looking for some music analysis, in-depth critique or intellectual approach - keep looking. For ELP fans only!

A catalog of releases by the FMP label, which is one of the most important European record labels on the scene of Free Jazz and Improvised Music. It includes a history and musical philisophy of the label and detail description of its releases. Text in German and English.

This book tells the history of the NY (Harlem) Apollo Theatre, one of the landmarks of the NY music scene, which hosted concerts by all the Pop, Rock, Soul and Jazz great performers over the yeras. Very well written and research, this is a great piece of music history.

This is a wealth of information at your fingertips, if you are into musician´s histories and the various bands they played in. A must for every Rock researcher!

More of the above, a more recent addition, meticulous as usual. This is a vital tool for any Rock researcher and historian, but the general public should be able to enjoy this as well, especially if your favorite group is charted.

Excellent book about one of Americas greatest Rock bands, with detailed account of the tragic events that seemed to hount the band over the yeras. Great read!

Monumental book about the history of Jazz vocals in America, probably the most serious work ever published on the subject. The wealth of information and the depth of the analysis are stunning. A must to any serious Jazz researcher.
