Here are some new additions, all quite exciting:

Gentle Giant – “Acquiring The Taste”

2nd album by British Prog legends Gentle Giant, which follows the stunning eponymous debut album, and stretches the ideas even further, with everything between Hard Rock and Gregorian Chants, fused into an amazing amalgam unique to this band. Elegant and sophisticated, humorous and deep, this is an unmatched musical gem, which inspired generations of future musicians. No Prog collection should be without this album.

Here are some new additions, all quite exciting:

Johnny Winter – “The Woodstock Experience (Limited Edition)”

The 40th Anniversary of the Woodstock Festival prompted a surge of releases, which revisit this historic event. This album by singer / guitarist Johnny Winter is one of a series of releases on the Columbia label, which combine original albums released by the label's artists with their Woodstock appearances. This album is especially exciting, since the Johnny Winter's Woodstock appearance was never previously released in full. It was worth waiting for of course, as his brilliant guitar playing at the time had absolutely no competitors in the Blues-Rock scene and this is divine music from start to finish. The Woodstock appearance is combined here with the Johnny Winter eponymous debut album on Columbia, another piece of classic and essential Blues-Rock history. Beautifully packaged as LP replica mini-sleeves in a carton box, which also includes a Woodstock poster, this is a true collector's item! Highly recommended!

Here are some new additions, all quite exciting:

Three`ngers – “Three`ngers (40th Anniversary Expanded Edition)”

The Israeli trio The Three`ngers ("Shlosharim" in Hebrew) included the top male vocalists on the local scene at the end of the 1960s: Shalom Hanoch, Hanan Yovel and Benny Amdursky. Their combined vocal abilities, Hanoch's incredible songwriting (he composed most of the songs), brilliant lyrics written by the best lyricists active at the time (Jonathan Geffen and others) and beautiful arrangements by Misha Segal turned the only album recorded by this group into an instant Israeli Pop / Rock classic. Musically daring and completely different from most of the music created on the local scene at the time, these songs and performances withstand the test of time with flying colors and sound as fresh and exciting as they did at the time. This new edition expands the original album with additional songs, originally released on an EP, which has been unavailable for decades, as well as a DVD with TV appearances by the group. Way beyond nostalgia, this is a beautiful reminder of the exciting times when musical breakthroughs were happening everywhere, including Israel. Great stuff!
